War Memorial Board Unveiled
People from the village gathered at the War Memorial for the traditional Remembrance Service, with uniformed groups on parade with flags.
This was the first time a new Memorial Board, showing the soldiers who fell during World War II and created by members of the Parish Archive Group, had been on display.
“It makes the names of the fallen more personal.”
Many onlookers gave their views on the Board — describing it as impressive, personal and lively. A serving Royal Engineer who visited from outside the village thought the concept was an excellent idea.
