We run and attend various events and hold regular meetings throughout the year to coordinate and promote the Parish Archive and generate interest in the work of the Group. These are often good opportunities to discover new artefacts and documents held in the Archive.

  • 2026 Annual Review

  • VE Day Anniversary Celebrations
    Members of the Archive Group attended the Picnic in the Park and held an open morning at the library displaying documents, medals and artefacts to mark the VE Day anniversary.
  • Donation from Open Gardens
    The Parish Archive Group gratefully accepted a donation of £200 from the proceeds of the village Open Gardens event, presented by committee member Pete Gilbert.
  • War Memorial Board Unveiled
    People from the village gathered at the War Memorial for the Remembrance Service, marking the first display of a new Memorial Board created by the Archive Group showing soldiers who fell in World War II.
  • Two Years Old and Growing
    Chair Karen Payne marks the Newbold Verdon Parish Archive’s second anniversary with a look back at its achievements and a preview of the year ahead.
